yup I'll be there sliding my FC, one of 2 or 3 thatll be there out of 100 silvia's or so (slight exaggeration)

Too bad drift alliance couldnt make it this weekend though, but that just means more sliding time

and someone should bring there imprezza, some AWD drifts would kick ass and bring variety to the S13 fest

it was a real good event, once the riced hondas got out of the way and the EMT made it around.

Dado from Teckademics and the Mischief series was there in a drift prepped Caddy with loud unmuffled side pipes, and enough torque to share.

I got a lot of good runs in and everyone got a lot of runs with some outstanding drifting and intentional 360s. Ive got some video of the day, Ill work on organizing to a nice video or few clips and post once Its together

Heres a copy of the map they were handing out (a nice addition they did for saturday). It was a very good course, the map doesnt do it very well though, but gives you a general idea.

it was a fun time, I was out there to watch the competition, around 3:00 or so, my buddy Tim was there, and had to go up against the cts for 3rd place, quite an unfair contest, especially with a sponsored, teckademics driver behind the wheel, but he held his own and did real well.

i got a decent amount on tape, hopefully i can get it uploaded some time soon

I was there with the judges and I can absolutly tell you that there was nothing unfair about the decisions made. We made decisons based on line, entry speed, angle, and that sort of stuff. Towards the end the 360s started comin into play too. But you have to remember, Dado came 3rd, which means a stock 240 and a sr 240 beat him. I remember tim's driving and He wa driving really well, we just felt dado had a better line and such on that last run.

Chip did the course FASTER than Dado with a stock KA, and in fact was speeding up through a drift in the large sweeper. We really tried to make it a fair judging and i stand by how it all went down.

Jaster, I don't think Jim was saying the decision was unfair at all, I think he was just saying the fact that Dado had a lot more power than everyone sucks. But it really doesn't matter, he did good.

But the day was awesome. I had a lot of fun. I got pretty lucky too. Next time I need to make sure I have better tires to run on, the ones I had just would get too greasy and slippery when I was trying to go faster and with more angle and just didn't stick as well as I had hoped at all.

Did anyone that went get any pictures?

Tim

yeh, definitely wasn't saying that the judging was unfair, i was referring to the gross difference in power/torque/resources etc. of dado's car versus the rest of the field. And trust me, I loved watching him drive, and certainly would never discount his ability or that of the judges.

was a fun day, for the time i was there, and hopefully I can get my car running right again and get to drive in an upcoming event.
