BAH!!! I broke it again....

I did the coil-on-plugs today and fixed a leaky exhaust gasket at a friends house. He asked me for a ride in the car and obviouly I took him. I just rolled into it in a couple gears and broke the tires loose. He was so surprised that the car is running pretty well with all the issues that I have been having so he asked me how well the car launched. I was a little iffy on launching the car since I just installed a 6-puck unsprung into it about a week ago, and I knew some weak link in the drive train was gonna go. So I got hyped up and said "WTF, why not?? Lets go do this".

I stopped in the middle of the street, hit the 2step, looked at the gauge and saw 15 psi. I held on and let go of the clutch, slammed it into second and the shifter pops out of gear. I ignore it and go around the block to drop him back off. While turning I felt the rear wheel skip which is no good. I check all the axles and all is intact. I cut the wheel again and proceeded to move forward, again it chirps the tires. UHHHHHH, I blew the center diff. Ill have a welded center diff installed by the weekend hopefully.

Atleast he told me that he had to go home and change his underwear. Of course I was planning on going to the track tomorrow too. Oh well, next week it will have to be.

That sucks. I remember replacing my center diff, it wasn't too bad. That sounds like one hell of a DSM

Yea the center diff isnt too bad to replace since I can do it in teh car. Just no access to a compressor and I can find my gear puller is whats kicking me in the ass. I have a spare trans here that Im gonna take the diff out of and weld up. On my original car I had my drag radials, coilovers, stock drivetrain with stock diff, and it held up to 20+ 1.52 60's. Wish I still had that trans.

Honestly, the car hasnt been to the dyno yet at all. What Im speculating from the logs on my DSMLink (just a guess) is probbaly 450ish if not a hair more. Im more about 1/4 mile time but unfortunately I have not had one clean pass yet. Ill say this much, with no clutch pedal (assembly was broken) and ripping it in and out of gears, the car went 12.4. you have to keep in mind when I was trying to rip it out of gears, the car would engine break.
