Suspended License

Im from PA, got my license suspended a bit ago, i heard from a friend that cops have a list of license plates that are suspended (since the car is in my name) and they can pull you over. Can the cops just run my plate and pull me over because its registered to someone with a suspended license even if ive done nothing wrong?

I hope you are not trying to use the Ask The Law section to know if you will be able to get away with driving without a license...

In a way he was BSing you. And in a way he was more right then he knew. The fact is most police cars today have onboard computers that can look up your car in traffic and tell the officer if the owner is revoked or has a warrant. It has been ruled in court that it is legal for and officer to run your plate at random and if it shows that the owner is revoked or wanted the officer can stop to investigate.
