new clutch and flywheel installed!!!

wow
i love it
old setup
oem flywheel with spec stage 2 clutch

new
ACT Prolite flywheel and compeition stage 4 clutch (6puck sprung hub)

old setup would chatter even when i lightly let off the clutch...Also slipped on the dyno when boosting past the 200+ lbs of torque (even though its rated at 275 lbs Evil or Very Mad ) the new clutch actually engages a TON smoother... the only other different is pedal pressure... it is a tad stronger pedal pressure, but not hard to press down.
engagement was adjusted to release about 1.5-2 inches away from the top....

going to retune aug 16th so we'll see how it handles the powah!!!

I wanna thank 2point4DSM (Wil) for helping me out the past TWO days.... I owe you a drink, dinner, or maybe help if u ever move.

I wanna also thank Sandra (SexyDSM95) for laughing at my manly hands that got cut four times in the first hour of the install

After letting James struggle a bit I figured I'd let let him know it really didn't have to come out, lol.

So I just pulled a bunch of stuff off that driver's side and yanked the halfshaft still attached to the hub and let it dangle.

Unfortunately, we didn't have any bungy cords....

haha.

Geez, I don't remember ever having so much fun pulling out a tranny. I'm still recovering from the experience. Sucks being old, lol.

I warned you trannies can get really heavy. 100lb tranny feels like 1000lbs when they don't go right back in nicely. Sucks not having bungy cords again. That threw my game way off, lol.

Have fun with it!

thanks!
unfortunately i had to drive 150 miles today roundtrip for work (newark, nj) and the ride was flawless (except for my need for another alignment)

i didn't even bother going to the gym today since all my cuts would just open up...

That would be Sandra's fault, haha... j/k.

I'm not sure there would be reason your alignment would be off. Is it very noticeable? Otherwise, we didn't mess with alignment stuff, IIRC, from when I use to do alignments....
