I heard its a big upset compared to GH2 in terms of how much more competitive they made it. I'm new to the whole series, and from what I'm reading about it with all the "attacks" the bosses can do to you, like switch your difficulty in the middle of a song or make notes randomly appear or disappear, I might just go out and buy GH2 instead.

my brother has it for wii. its cool. i like how the guitar is heavier now and the neck comes off so i can fit it IN my backpack. awesome ****ing songs too!!

OK, my brothers friend just came over with GH3 and I think I'll be picking it up this week, haha. It's definitely fun, and I was really stoked to play some of the songs on the track list even though I started out on easy. I'll restart my save on medium when I pick it up.
The only thing I don't like about it from what I played is that some songs are co-op only. I'll be looking to some of you guys when I want to play "Helicopter" or "Suck My Kiss" later this week, haha.
