I've got a buddy in Kuwait right now. Says it's gotten up to 135 around noonish, and he's gotta wear kevlar in his car :sucks:

been there, done that. just got back like 4 months ago

this is gonna be my second tour and they are talking like 18+ months

and its the monsoon season that sucks MUD EVERYWHERE

yeah and watch out for those big azz camel spiders i think thats what they are called. they like the shade so they will follow you around in you're shadow looks like they are chasing you :thumbdow:

One of my employees is over there now...at least I think he is in Iraq by now. He spent a few months in Germany first.

What is your specialty? Or, more specificly, what will your unit be doing. One of the other managers in the area spent time running POW camps in both Iraq, and Afganistan. He has officially retired from the reserves now though.

I was a 19k Tanker but for my first deployment my unit was converted to light infantry so we did a lot of humvee patrols and walkin'

my new unit was SUPPOSED to be a tank unit but looks like they got converted as well and now i have to attend school to change my MOS to 19D Cav Scout. but we're gonna be in hummers so its same **** different day
