Car took a poop on me (Well something with the clutch)

We yesterday I went out to my car to go run some errands, and i start her up and it stalls out (the car was in gear but I had my clutch pedal down). So I wait a min, and put the car in neutral (after a little struggle), and start it back up. I let it warm up a little bit, and try to put it in reverse. When I try it just grinds and doesn't want to go in. So I tried the other gears and it doesn't want to go in any of them. So I think well that great, and just let it idle for about 15 mins and try again, only to have the same thing happen again. Well I throw it in reverse finally, and then it won't come out of reverse. So with my car in reverse, and the brake and clutch down, i let off the brake a little and the car starts moving backwards (my driveway is on a downhill slant so it was going uphill backwards with me clutch pedal down). So i just keep both down for a little while and after struggling for a little while (and not wanting to break my no name short throw) I finally get it in neutral, cruise back down the driveway and havent touched it since.

I think I may just take this as a sign that I need to swap it. But it still pisses me off. My clutch and everything was fine earlier that day. I think it may be the throwout bearing, or clutch master cylinder, but im not mechanic so any suggestions or anything would be appreciated.

you remember that little chat we had earlier about who's car is more reliable.....mine is still on the road. btw its for sale, you should buy it 7500

on the other hand, you may be right. my bet is that your clutch is not engaging. if you have to open it up just throw a new oem clutch in. they are only like 200 bucks. you should be able to find someone that can work on it here

number 1, i hate you haha. Number 2, I was thinking about just fixing it, but also, i wanted to swap sometime over the winter anyway, so this might be the reason for it. Number 3, keep ur daily service machine...what are you gonna get?

some things you may want to check and do before changing the clutch.

check the clutch fluid, both master and slave cylinders, bleed the clutch, change tranny fluid, and also try adjust the clutch pedal.

Figured I'd give an update. I let it sit for a while since my parents have an extra car for now. But finally fixed the hatch, it was the slave cylinder. Got it fixed and back to running perfectly
