So believe what you want Jersey peeps. Cause when you leave your state and people ask you where you are from, we all know you want to lie cause secretly you are embarrassed by how much it sucks.

Yea, this lawsuit is going to get far. It's not a monopoly, they aren't trying to corner the phone market.

As much as I'd like to see Apple be a little bit friendlier with outside apps on their iPhone, they don't have to.

The market will determine this one. Either Apple will do what customers want, or the iPhone will flop.

Look at the PSP.

When you buy an iPhone you voluntarily accept the software license agreement, and the EULA, without any need for signature. However, if theres any suspicion of unlocking you will be asked to sign a copy stating that you are aware of both agreements and any tampering of hardware and/or software will void your warranty. Apple has a binding contract with At&t that states that they are the exclusive provider of iPhones in the united states, at&t actually pays for a portion of each iPhone purchased. Apple is just trying to obied by it's contract by asking people to obied by theres.

The lawsuit brought up a good laugh at work however.

how do i know all this? well...i do work for Apple. hah.

the lawsuit probably will get far, att is the only company that can sell the iPhone, the phone should be able to be used with any other company tho.

Why do you say that? Cause its the latest and greatest phone to date, by opinion. Well why havent people been sueing for years over the fact that not every phone can be used on every network.

I know this may seem not that big of a deal. However, this is what brought Microsoft down (well not down but split it up). Remember Windows used to only come with Microsoft Explorer but a bunch of other internet browsers sued saying it was a monopoly.

I can't remember if they were forced to add other browsers or they settled to have other browsers but either way lawsuits like this are no joke.

Also, according to the FCC its not illegal to hack phones...yet.

I do agree that if you hack phones you then become responsible if they break and it should void your warranty.

isn't what they are doing exactly the same as all the other phone company's. i know verizon has LG phones that are only on verizon network and since they are cdma they will not work on any other company
