Remote Starts on Manual Cars...YES we do! 100% safe!!!

DEI aka Directed Electronics is releasing a new manual transmission / stick shift bypass this week. This will allow owners of a manual transmission car to have & use a remote engine starter without the worry of the car starting while a gear is engaged. The module is fool-proof & will work on ANY manual transmission car.

It works like this:

1. Park the vehicle
2. Place car in neutral
3. Apply parking brake
4. Take foot off brake pedal
5. Hit the remote start button on key fob
6. Remove key from ignition, car will stay running
7. Exit vehicle and press lock on key fob. car will lock, alarm will arm, and engine will shut down

The car is now in 'ready' mode for remote start. If the car is unlocked, locked, door opened, etc in anyway prior to starting, the remote start will not work fearing that the car may have been placed into gear.

Give us a call...mention you are from TST and we will give you an estimate for install.

All you guys out there with a two way alarm/remote start that want the remote start hooked up...hit us up and we will make it happen!

if you need to park you car in gear all the time then a remote start is not for you. The idea is that by following the procedure, the car will know whether or not it is in gear. on the occasions that the car is parked in gear - the remote start will not function. keyless entry and alarm functions always works regardless of whether or not the car is in gear.

Hey I already have an Auto page remote start unit. I have an 06 gti...is there a way to integrate without an after market alarm system? Maybe through an extra channel in my stock remote?

In some cases you can add a remote start to a factory transmitter, but you have to use double pulse or triple pulse on lock or unlock to initialize the RS. There are no open channels on 'most' factory systems to trigger any remote start.

First question I have...which Autopage RS do you have? Model number please...also, is it new or used?

I will have to look into the '06 GTI to see what we can do...I will follow up with info.

And, for the record...DEI doesnt steal idea's anymore...they lost a HUGE lawsuit this year for copyright infringement. So, instead they buy the company(s). DEI's market share is sick.

For the record...Peripharel was selling this manual override last year but they were hard to get, which made it hard to market.

DEI's ability to provide product to the marketplace is second to none...therefore, I was confident in making the decision to offer the product this season.
