i'm hoping to be there as well... hopefully my car is finished by then!

what you should know... hmm.

take everything loose out of your car the night before and leave it at home. tools, floor mats, stuff in the glove box, etc etc. if its not attached take it out.

inflate your tires higher than normal. you can easily lower pressure at the track but you cant easily raise it unless you have a compressor. if you have one bring it but otherwise just overinflate and come then lower them at the track. i run about 40 psi in my tires when i autox vs 34 on the street, but this is dependant on tire size and also make and model so dont necessarily go by that.

if you have a helmet, bring it. if not, there are free loaners you can use.

get to the track eeeeaaaaarrrrrrllllllyyyyy. you have to get to tech inspection and you have to get signed in, drivers meet, and get sorted out yourself with tire pressures and who knows what else. if you get there late and have to rush that rushed feeling will carry into the day and affect your racing. believe me, i know.

get to the track earlyyyyy. oh did i say that already? well another good reason is so you can make use of the course walkthrough which can be incredibly beneficial if you make use of it. try to walk with the course tech/designer and let him explain how he recommends you bring the car through the course because after all the line you take will have a huge affect on your success. after walking through with the course tech, walk through it again. do it a third time if there is time. the more familliar you are with the course before you get started the more you'll be able to focus on other aspects without getting mixed up in a sea of cones.

bring sunblock if its sunny, water if you want it, snacks, a camera, whatever. they do break for lunch at about noon so you'll have a chance to run out if you need.

you drive one heat and you work one heat. you must work! this entails being out on course with a small group that has a flag and a radio and keeps an eye on things to make sure everything is safe and running well. your job will be explained to you so dont worry about that, but make sure you work when you're supposed to or it will back up the whole day.

ok thats what i can think of right now. all in all pretty much just show up and be ready to have some fun. also, autoxing is 80% driver experience/skill, 15% tires/suspension, and 5% power. remember, smooth is fast... smooth inputs in the throttle, brake, and steering are what will turn fast times, not mashing the pedal. i think you'll understand after you take a couple laps.

I'm going to try to come to shoot the AutoX. I'm not sure if I'll be able to because I'm supposed to be leaving for Detroit sometime that day. Hopefully my flight won't be until later in the day.

I am hoping to have my poly bushing install done by then and have a good alignment taken care of by R/T by then. If so I'll be running.

Racing will start at or around 10 AM. If you are running morning heat it is best to be on site around 8 AM.

Unfortunately / Fortunately I will not be making this event. The Susquehanna Region is running an auto-x up in Hershey at Giants Stadium that same weekend. This is a two day event held place on one of the largest lots in PA. I'm honestly completely stoked to get up there for the weekend, but I am kinda bummed that I miss the opportunity to run with the Philly Region one last time for the year.

Also for those of you who where not aware. There is an auto-x held at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, MD on Saturday October 13th, which I plan on attending and then running with the DC Region at FedEx field on Sunday October 14th.

you will be placed in a class and will run with your class. I'm not quite sure what the run order for Warminster on 10/28 is though. If you can post your modifications and we should be able to tell you what class you will be running. Also as a first time driver sign up for the Novice class and make sure you do the novice walk through. Warminster courses are usually fairly easy for someone with experience to navigate, but as a new driver all you will see is a row of cones and can become confused very quickly. Don't be afraid to ask for an instructor ride through or even an instructor run. They are there to help you and have years of experience to hand down to you.

4. Run Groups

Definition of terms:
Run Group- Cars grouped by class. Run groups will be determined at the beginning of the season and numbered A, B, C, and D.

Heat- each session will be divided into two heats. You run in one heat and work the opposite heat in your session.

Session- the day will be divided in half, with an AM Session and a PM Session.

The run groups will be assigned to a heat on a rotating basis from event to event. You MUST run in the session that your run group is scheduled to be eligible for an event trophy and series points. The Event Chair may grant exceptions to allow competitors to run the opposing heat in their session for the following reasons:
Multi-driver vehicle
Conflicting work requirement (safety steward, computer tech, event chair, etc.)
Accommodating a Buddy schedule (run comp runs before instructing a novice)

If you run out of session without permission, your times will automatically be placed into the non-comp listing and you will not qualify for an event trophy or series points.

If you run non-comp runs after your comp runs, you must work an additional work assignment for each additional heat.

Run Groups:

Group A - STS, STS2, STX2, STU, DS, Ladies, F125, Karts (NOTE: no karts in NJ)
Group B - FS, GS, HS, PRO, All Mod Classes,
Group C - SM, SM2, ASP, BSP, CSP, DSP, ESP, FSP
Group D - STX, SS, AS, BS, CS, ES, All Prepared Classes

NOTE: These groups are subject to change without prior notice during the season due to increased or decreased class participation.

those r the classes and run groups. i am in SM, as many of us are which is class C. list ur mods and we can tell u what ull be in....
