Just missed 11's....damn!

well long story short im happy but dissapointed. i was lookin for 11's in the worst way but the weather did really do what i wanted it to.

anyways heres the slip

60'...... 1.748 <--no burnout (MT ET Streets)
330..... .000 (broken)
1/8..... 7.758
MPH.... 90.98
1000... 10.087
1/4..... 12.048
MPH... 115.82

hopefully it'll start getting cooler out, and with some weight reduction and some good old fashioned track prep im hopin see 11.7's out of her by october. all in all though im happy, i just know the car has more in it.

Holy 25mph pick up on the back half...way to go brotha... CI FTW!!

On a side note I wish my baby stock intercoolers would not heatsoak so I could pick up 25mph on the back half. I was trapping 92.6mph in the 1/8th!

yea man time for some big side mounts or a front mount, you'd get 11's no problem. im thinkin on a cool night i can drop that by a couple 10ths. i just wish i could do a proper burnout!

Nice man, I saw you there last night. Sharp car too...My times sucked, but this was my first time driving a manual at the track. I've raced with autos there before, but never a stick..By looking at my 60' and my trap speed, I know where to make my adjustments. lol

thanks man, keep at it, manual cars are tough to get the hang of at first, but after some good old fashioned seat time, and lots of practice on the street you'll get there. tires and a good clutch help out alot for 60' then its just a matter of getting your shifts down. good luck!

lol 5000rpm was pretty much a man launch, and if my car weighed as much as a Z06 id be going low 11's right now without a problem...lol unfortuneately GTO's are around 700lbs heaver and at 1/10th for every 100lbs id say im right on the money all things considered

I think I saw your car there last night, nice runs. The first half of the track is whats killin you, work on that 1-2 & 2-3 and you'll be in the 11s next time out.

the blue C5 was my buddy phil, running 12.6's. i doubt there was another with BFG's there last night. i really wasnt going all out as i was more worried about launching than getting down the track...i also never powershift but i could have probably shifted faster. all i really need is some damn cold air!!

Congrats on the times. I don't think I would ever race a manual car haha. I love autos for some reason.
