dealership trouble

ive had my sti for a year now its its a 2004 sti and i have a warranty and what not i wanna bring it in for some service. i dont drive it much so theres not really anything wrong with it. any suggestions as far as what i should expect and maybe expect to pay. i basically just want them to look it over. i have 25k on the odometer and i really dont plan on driving it through the winter but i want to keep the car in tip top shape.

i feel you. i guess most of you guys bought your car and never returned to the dealer for service? oil changes are simple but what about all the other scheduled maintanance? are you ignooring it?

most of it you can do yourself, Your warranty may almost be up anyway. (3yr-36k) There are simple things the dealer can do for you but in most cases for most of us there are things that are serviced in the scheduled matainence that either arent on the car anymore or have been replaced already for better than stock parts (plugs, injectors, pumps, filters) **** like that. But if your car is stock than theres no worry anyways. 25k tune up is like 500 dollars though.

Do the fluids(diffs and tc), filters and plugs yourself. It can be done with normal handtools and a general knowledge of cars. Print out a couple how-tos and go to town. You will start to build confidence on what you can accomplish and feel 10 times better knowing you did the work and that it is right! Not to mention save a ton of money. Good luck

Hence doing routine maintenance yourself...plus IF I had a warranty I would choose to do it myself or have a reputable shop do it. Anything but the knuckle heads at the Stealership.
