1985 RX7 Drag car

Street legal drag car. This rx7 was clean to begin with and got just about everything but new paint. The engine was a rebuilt and ported turbo II engine. The exhaust manifold was built for this car as for was the rest of the turbo system. A rare J-TEC intake manifold with six injectors was added and the car was running on a Haltech engine managment. The interior was refinished as long as carbon fiber dash panels were made to house all the gauges. The car has a 4 link rear and a 8.8 Ford rear end with Strange products installed including the rear braking system.

Wow, nice car! What turbo are you running on it and what boost pressures do you plan to run? What size are the injectors?

The turbo is a T66 P-trim with .96 turbine housing. The injectors are two 550cc and four 1600cc. It ran at 25psi. We never had it on the dyno though. Every time we would go some thing would come up. You know how they are.

Did you make the exhaust manifold? If you did, how much would you charge to make one for a 87 rx7?

Yeah we did. For a similar one it would cost around $1000. We will build it how ever you wanted.

Nice, I have a similar project myself..I'm interested in knowing how much the rear setup cost minus the actual 8.8..Also, who built the engine and what are the specs on it?? I have a series 4 turbo engine that needs a rebuild for my 85 SE..

The entire rear project was like 4k. The engine was a turbo II street ported and atkins seals.
