Funny SCC magazine quote about Evo's

" I am writing in response to a letter by Matthew Hansen published in your July 2007 issue. After reading his letter, complaining about how Evolutions are getting "overdone", I was appalled. Being the owner of a 2006 Evolution MR, this hit close to home. I was immediately disturbed at the idea of my screamingly fast all-wheel-drive terror becoming boring. What's worse, it seems as if my car isn't as fast as my timeslips says it is. Mr. Hansen has a 12-year-old sport-economy that routinely tromps Evolutions? Oh no.

Surely I had read this wrong. I quickly scanned his letter again, but to my dismay, there it was "not to mention my 1995 Saturn SC2 has beaten a number of Evos..." I couldn't stand it. I had just traded n my 350Z because I was tired of being picked on by M3s, when all of a sudden I find out my new mount can't even hold its own against a Saturn. I had once beleived that purchasing an Evo IX MR bought me a performance pedestal that would rival the $70,000 Porsche Cayman S. That belief no seems so childish, so naive.

With nausea washing over me in a way I can't put into words, I sold my Evolution. For $2700. That's all it took to put myself into the beast that is the SC2. And I couldn't be happier. This baby puts down 124bhp through one front wheel. Then there's the timeless mid-90's styling and an interior to die for. Just wow. With this being said, I would first like to thank Mr. Hansen for writing in, for without his insight I might have never known about the Evolution-trouncing capabilities of the 1995 Saturn SC2. Thanks for the laughs.

his original complaint was valid, but come on man, did he have to go and bash evo by sayin his saturn kills em? what a moron.

but he Is right, the evo love SCC gives is a little overkill.

then again, he drives a saturn so maybe hes jealous?!!!!

I think you missed it. He was mocking the guy who wrote a letter in talking about killing Evos with his Saturn. The original letter writer (the one this is in response to) is the moron who said his SC2 trounces Evos.

This thread should be in

Video Games, Music, Movies, General Entertainment, etc.

Right? Or should it be in "General car related"??

With that said, why would the mag publish the original letter anyway?
