Sirius sucks. My brother has it and you can tell they just run a playlist. It's just like the radio... but with more songs that you'll hear more than once.

That Delphi piece sux. The only good thing about it is that you can take it with you, like from room to room. Other than that, I would invest in a head unit that is compatible with xm or sirius. I have an Alpine head unit with xm. I think with either you're gonna hear the same stuff again. But I do agree with you it is getting old. But if I had to choose I'd go with xm. Just my opinion.

I have XM currently in my car and i have a wayyyyyyyyyyyy smaller unit that the Delphi, granted its not mobile like the delphi, but its XM...

I think it goes by the name XM Commander made by Terk

Its nice, its small and I happen to enjoy XM...never the same stuff, lots of different stuff. I dont see how Stern going to Sirius is gonna make a difference, he still sucks lately.....

I would say stay with XM but I'm biased because I am a huge fan of O & A and Lil' Jimmy too. Kick the doggie company in the liver.

I am also a huge O&A fan. Also, you don't have to pay extra for the channel they are on anymore. My brother has sirius, and I have xm. I have to say that I like xm way better. I think xm plays a better selection of music that I like. That's just my opinion though. Either one is WAY BETTER than fm radio with their stupid 30 min. of commercials in between 5 min. of actual music.

you need to look at the stock quotes. XM is around $35/share and predicted to hit 42 in a year. Sirius is $7/share and predicted to be $7 in a year, not to mention the loses Sirius posts quarterly get bigger and bigger. Granted some of that might turn around when Stern comes on, but they still need to pay his HALF BILLION DOLLAR salary. We'll see who's around in 10 years.

i think you're a tool....

also there is news about xm and sirius merging... but i dont know how valid that is... and when you think of it... if/when sirius overtakes xm... sirius will kick over 30 a share...and xm will probably level out... xm is older...and they have the GM contract... what else do they have for the future...nothing...

sirius has stern which is huge... and they are still a young company...

i say sirius will far exceed xm in the future

Any company that would pay Martha Stewart $30 million and give her a 24 hour channel for homemaking ideas is out of its mind. I understand that they are trying to build a bigger female audience, but do you really think that is going to work? How well are her ideas going to translate to radio? Her talent is visual not audible. "sirius has stern which is huge" OK, that's fine but it is also a huge contract that they need to pay. Even Mel Karmazin said himself that he won't be making any more deals because they need to boost cash flow. If there was talks about an unlikely merger, XM denies this, it was because Siruis is needs XM's cash. I am not saying XM is gonna be successful, but by looking at the financials of both companies, I'm glad my money is not on Sirius. As for the future, XM has signed or is signing deals with several other talk shows, bring them on board from terrestrial radio, as well as the PGA and USTA. Xm's equipment is also far superior to Siruis's. Where is their handheld portable at, oh yea they don't have one on the market yet. When it does hit the market, it only has 44 minutes of recording time compared to XM's unit, which was out last year with 5 hours of recording. I could go on but I already wasted enough time responding to someone who starts off by calling me a tool instead of responding maturely to my statement. Do some research before you open your mouth.

I have sirius but I wouldnt have gotten anything if I didn't work at Circuit...I just got the sirius cause we had just gotten in the tuner box to go with the alpine radios. I like it...yea it's like the radio, they do play some stuff the same but not as much but it beats getting static and crap i haven't once listened to the regualr radio in my car since i've had it....as for switiching...eh..i dunno..i like sirius but listened to xm at work and stuff so either...nfl vs. baseball and o&a vs. stern..2 biggest things....and u don't pay for opie and anthony any more cuase i think eventually they're jacking the price to meet sirius...12.95 instead of 9.99
