2005 STi tuned with EcuTek

A client came in today with a very clean 05 STi. The car had standard Stage 2 equipment parts installed, but they worked kind of oddly together. He had a HKS downpipe and HKS 3 in exhaust, AEM cold air intake and a Profec B boost controler. The tune was at 19psi. This car made less torque than I was expecting, but more horsepower. Most of my AVCS maps work well on most AVCS equiped cars, but this car I had to make a whole new AVCS map. I thought there might have been a problem with the solenoids so I disconnected them from the harness and there was a noticable drop in torque so the solenoids were working properly. I will have to spend some more time with my data logs to see what was actually going on with the car.

I honestly dont know yet. He didnt have any additional parts besides the stage 2 stuff on the car that we could see. He did by it used so what is actually on the car is a slight mystery.
