Where were you on 911 6 years ago?

I was in marketing class in 12th grade at Neshaminy High School. I remember everyone was talking about how a plane flew into the WTC and it was going to collapse. I remember when they said it was a terrorist attack. I got a chill because I new that something even worse was going to happen. And I didn't want to have to go to war. Not that I'm a coward I was just scared of it.

So I just wanted to say my thoughts on it. I know its just the next anniversary but it still happened and I don't think we should ever forget what changed our world and made it what it is today. Hopefully some how we can make it better.

I was in 10th Grade In school at the time don't remember what class but we didn't think it was real...

9th grade Spanish class. we heard the principal over the intercom say something happened to the WTC. so our teacher put on the tv.

Spoh. Year of HS, in math class. Remember to this day that a friend of mine told me it got hit, and a few of us brushed it off as nothing. Left school early, went to a friends house, and watched the TV that entire day..... freaky stuff.

They cut off our tv and cable to make sure we didn't see it. The only news anyone got was from a couple teachers rigging an antenna and people getting calls between periods.

a week later I broke my leg and was in the hospital watching the footage...

yea well the principal said it was a plane hit the WTC, so thats what prompted us putting on the tv. and also because some of the people in the class didnt even know what they were at that time. then we really saw it. and man was everyone just Shocked. then we got out of school early, and i went home watched tv for about 2 hours then went out with my friend came over i remember seeing military planes in the air.

i was on 95 by the aramingo exit on my way to deptford, to work at a store i managed. i was listening to the radio as it happened and i remembered looking at everyone else in traffic in tears. then i got a call from my wife in tears because she was scared especially since our son was 3 weeks old, so i called work turned around and went home.

I was just getting back from a flight when the FAA ordered all planes out of the air. Daytona Beach International airport was a cluster**** right after I landed. Orlando was diverting flights to Sanford and Daytona with no preparation. No one in the air had a clue and no one was talking either. We had read about wartime plans for them to do this but no one was telling us why everyone was ordered to land. In that hour we had over 1000 incoming planes into Daytona. Sometime that morning I realized my flight career was over along with a good majority of my friends and colleagues. What a sad day.

8th grade. As soon as it happened we turned it on and saw the second plane crash a few minutes later..

I was in 12th grade, I believe it was History class. It was crazy cuz as each class got the news there was this weird silence through out the entire school. Once school was let out I still had Track practice, so me and a couple friends ran down to the brooklyn bridge and watched the maheim (sp) from across the river.

8th grade, was in math class when the principal came on the intercom and told us what happend. We were all so young then that we really didnt realize the magnitude of what just happened so we weren't that upset about it. I think it has hit me more in the past years than it did then.

I was blacked out from drinking the night before. I woke up around 2PM to find all of my roommates around the boob tube.

I remember I was also in ROTC..and I felt a huge sense of duty. Don't know what happened though..

I was sleeping in because I had gotten out of work at 1am. My mother woke me up and said we had been attacked, I turned on the tv just in time to see the first tower fall. Everything else was a bit of a blur, except me freaking out when I saw the place where my friend had just started working being listed as a company inside one of the towers. I called him and found out they only had a small, unoccupied office. I worked at M&M's at the time and it was shutting down by the time I got in because we didn't know when our supplies would be restocked from trucks stuck in nyc. They started making red white and blue M&M's the next day and sending them, with thank you messages, to the rescue workers at ground zero. I'll never forget calling friends who's parents worked in the city and hearing them tell me they didn't know where their parent was. There's a special place in hell for the people responsible for that day.

i was walking to english class when they announced it in 12th grade. then we watched the second plane hit on tv. i remember my english teacher was really upset when they said the third plane hit the pentagon because his brother was supposed to be on it. then, that night me and my dad had to rent a car and drive to georgia because my mom was stuck there for work and was supposed to come home the next day.

Senior in High School, in tech class. We were just playin with our new HDTV we got and put the news on and saw the first and second plane hit. Our whole class was going nuts. Then they tried to tell us to turn it off and w/e but being tech guys we said screw you jumped on an old computer and used dial up to stay up with the story.

i was in homeroom in 9th grade. Usually 15 minutes long, we were there for like 35 minutes, and no teachers where anywhere to be found. the principle came over the loud speaker and said that there had been an attack on america and one of the twin towers was hit with a plane, and we were being sent home for our own safety. One kid ran out of the room crying because his dad worked there. He didnt return to school for almost a month.
