Local AutoTrendz GTO/Import Car Show Pics!

Alright well I haven't posted here in the photography forum on TST in a while because I have been so busy at work. The few opportunities I have gotten to take pics over this summer I haven't even had the time to edit them. So finally I have started to sort through all the pics and started editing them and should have a lot of stuff posted up asap.

Here are just some pics I took today at a local car show which was put on by a local shop. The show was mainly for GTO's but there was a little bit of everything there.

Theses Pics were taken with my Nikon D80 using my Sigma 18-50mm and a polarizing filter.

I then adjusted the saturation, contrast, and levels in a few pics. Aide from that the pics were resized and a border was added.

11. Just came from winning best in show at a huge annual Vette car show that was going on just down the street.

i think the pics look great. blue and silver vette's are absolutely gorgeous.

Yeah I was glad I stayed around the show a little bit longer for the Vettes to show up, they were beautiful cars.

sure thing. did you get a chance to find out if either of those vette's are driven on the street or solely for shows?

Well the 62' has historic insurance/tags and was a frame up restoration so I'm pretty sure it is a Sunday car and he takes it out for an occasional drive and show with his son. The Blue vette has regular tags and I think gets driven a little more often but I doubt it gets driven that much.

Any more input on the pics? I realize they are shot in a parking lot there for the background is a little dull/busy in some of the pics. But aside from that any suggestions or comments would be appreciated!

i think you did pretty well with what you had to deal with. high sun, lots of people, and not many opportunities to get the depth of field you wanted because of it. for a walk around shoot i think you did really well. granted im not a professional by any means so take my words with a grain of salt but overall i think you did well.

I agree with this. The photos are great for what you had to deal with. To me or it might be my screen the blue Vette looks over saturated. Again it could be my screen or my tired eyes. But they all look great.

Thanks a lot man. None of us (or atleast that I know of) are professionals but a little feedback from someone with maybe another perspective is always appreciated if you know what I mean.

Thanks man, and I think your right I might have oversaturated one or two of the shots of the blue vette but if I did, not by much IMO. The paint on that car was so vibrant and just amazing.

Thanks man! I tried playing around with a little vignetting and I think it ended up working very well with that shot. It places even more of a focus on the beautiful exhaust. And yeah it was a great time!
