How to get your manager fired...

I've been working here longer than my manager, and shadowed the director during the time I've been here. And honestly, I'm probably his favorite.

Hey C.,

It was brought up by M.1 that a friend of her's that works for the Fire Department that put on the Millersburg Fair went to her and said that the "he almost got the blonde girl to flash him". The blonde girl in reference would be M.2 . However this was started by Jennifer. Jennifer heard the conversation shortly after it began and said the following:

Jennifer said this same fire fighter was bringing them free cotton candy and other snacks while M.2 was not there. When M.2 arrived she inquried as to where or how they got the free items. Jennifer, and maybe S., actively tried to convince M.2 that they received the items because they flashed the guy. At first, from what I understand of what Jen said, M.2 did not at first believe them but that they continued to push that as the truth and ultimately convinced her that if she were to flash the guy that she would receive free snacks.

The reason V. and M.1 are included on this e-mail is because both were in the room when Jennifer said this, with the door open and loud enough for the new hires to hear.

I regret having to bring something of this nature to your attention, but I can't just let this slide by without saying something. She's done some other things that I do not believe to be very professional but had decided that they weren't as big an issue as I believe this is.

M.2 isn't a very smart girl and easily convinced of such things. Jennifer knew this and took advantage of M.2 in this situation. This is very unprofessional of a manager to do, and brings the possibility of a sexual harassment suit onto the company.

And no, luckily M.2 did not flash anyone. If it got to that point I would have cussed my manager out for being a bigger piece of **** than I think she is now, and quit.

But at this point I have to be an adult and play the office game

This was sent not to long ago... maybe an hour. We'll see how this goes. No one likes the manager except maybe the director.

I would fire you for writing such an unprofessional email. How are you going to send such a cluster f*ck of a letter to anyone? It is hard to follow, does not flow, and is generally unreadable. Judging by the proffesionalism displayed in your email, I would not think it would be that hard for her to find a new job.

Cliff notes: Manager of the department told her employee that she, the manager, flashed above mentioned fire fighter to receive free snack food. Manager then proceeded to convince said employee that flashing said fire fighter would get her free stuff. This was done while ON THE CLOCK and in PUBLIC while REPRESENTING the company...

My coworker's friend is said firefighter and told her about the situation, and said they almost got her to flash him...

I'd called attempting to pursuade a coworker to lift her shirt and show her breasts to someone sexual harassment :-)

I understand...but Im not sure it was your place to say something. I think M.2 should say something if it was that big of a deal. You seem like you are flat out tattle-tailing because you dont like you superior. Not saying you are, but that is how the email comes off. Personally I would have gone to M.2 and told her to report it or something of the sorts.

M.2 isn't that bright of a girl and would most likely be afraid to say anything that could have her lose her job, even though it couldn't. And Jen, my superior flat out told 3 of us that she did what she did and seemed proud of the fact. It is my place to say something to protect the people I bring in to be employed. I'm the recruitment supervisor here. I chose the resumes that get called and the people that come in for an interview, and I've hired people for the position M.2 is in.

I am a member of the management at this site and it is my place to report any possible breech of ethics in order to protect the company and its employee's.

And as I am personally offended by the actions of my superior there is only one person for me to go to. Her superior.

The e-mail was approved by the 3 people, myself included, in the room that heard what she said. Regardless of whether or not I liked this woman, I would have sent the e-mail.

You just don't treat the people you work with like that, and I refuse to hire anyone or refer any friends to work here if they'd have to deal with that kind of treatment.

If YOU are offended by your surroundings and this Jennifer person is creating a hostile or innappropiate work enviroment that is also a form of harassment. So, I think you have strong ground to let the person above you know about this. Even though technically you should always try to confront the person who is guilty with a letter (paper trail) so their response isn't "Oh I didn't know so and so would be offended".

Oh ok. I didnt think you had any involvement here. I thought that it was just passed down to you, didnt realize she said it directly to you. In that case, yes I wouldve done the same thing.
