So ive been debating a nitrous spray bar set up for a while and now that i have to money im giving it second thooughts because im not sure of the laws against it. Can anyone tell me a little bit about the laws in PA and jersey pertaining nitrous are?

Im curious how the law would work with a spray bar. I know NJ has a permit you need to have the bottles filled and carried in the car. You also have to drive around with the feed line unhooked.

lj, in PA i know alot of guys with nitrous they just drive around with the bottle unhooked

yea i belive u can have them it just has to be unhooked as stated above.. but im not 100% sure.

that would defeat the purpose really if you were to find a run while moving really though wouldnt it?. Also I heard theres a liscense or certification to transport Nitrous.

This is the form for the NJ permit. Damn, $25 for it now. Back in 2002 I got mine for free. I just filled out the form and sent it to them. No ID check, nothing. Acouple weeks later I got the little cards in the mail. I know to get your bottle filled at E-Town they need the one permit on file with that. Atleast thats how it was.

thats all i need to do and then i can have it in the car hooked up and all?

Thats for NJ. As far as I know, nitrous transportation is ILLEGAL. Why not run CO2?

Oh word? I didn't even know about this. I ran it all the time with no permit.

Um, so it's $25 and they automatically give it to you? I better get that.

Im sure on the street you'd probably catch some heat if they caught you.

and D, as far as I know you send the form and they send you the permit. Atleast thats how it went down when I got mine. But this was a good couple years ago and back then it didn't cost anything.

I did alot of research in PA about is and every one you talk is a dead end. Most bottles are DOT approved and can in PA be transported and kept in your car. I know that it is not allowed to be used on the street in PA. This is how I eplain it. You can fill it and install it but its for racing only. Who am I to say where you can race? Get the spray it's alot of fun!

You need a specail permit, and its not hard to get, I have a friend that has it, But no permit and gets in trouble but doesnt get caught with it.

If im not mistaken the only thing you need in pa as far as a permit would go would be to actually sell the stuff. I know when the shop i used to go to had it they had to go through a long drawn out process to just be able to purchase it to sell!!! As far as i know though you dont actually have to have a permit to get a bottle filled from a shop.
