Coilover install help needed
I am at the point where I am taking the old struts and springs out but the problem is the brake lines are attached to the strut permanently. Can I just dremel the bracket off or is there a trick to it that I don't know of? I don't want to re-bleed the brakes if possible.

Isn't there just a spade clip that hold the brake line in the mounting point? If not, yes, you can detach it.

The STi has one you can detach, the GC chassis' is what looks to be permanent. Looks like there is no harm to dremel it but I just want to make sure there isn't a trick to it.

Zip ties
And they've been dremel'd off already - the fact is that the hoses are in 2 pieces and are literally screwed onto the bracket that was mounted on the original strut. There is a mounting point on the dampers where the line runs through (and doesn't screw in anyway) so I will run it through there and just zip-tie it further on to make absolutely sure.

If you use zip ties, use two per strut - one to contain the line, and one to attach the line and zip tie to the strut....basically, two circles, making the shape of an 8 - that way, the zip tie attached to the strut doesn't have complete contact with the line and won't rub it.
