i'm cheap. my car looked awful.....

Well, the clear coat was completely destroyed on the entire top of my car...

hood, roof and hatch...it was bubbling and flaking more and more with each day and i could not stand it.

sunday i set out to take care of the problem, i like the end result.

i need to do some wet sanding and buffing yet but it looks so much nicer to have nice shiny paint on there than flaking disgusting clear coat.

when you take your time, a fews cans of paint and clear can turn out much better than youd ever expect....lots of prep work and sanding and a very wet coat of clear.

im undecided on leaving the light covers green or not, honestly the car is up for sale so i really just want it better looking for buyers, the bad clear due to a sub-par respray made the car look uncared for. and i definitely care for my vehicles

and for those like me that just love a nice, clean, stock looking interior...

don't knock on my auto trans, its a daily driver

photobucket is undergoing service so i cant access most of my pics, ill post the rest up when i can get to them

enjoy!

i used a rustoleum satin blackf or the base, and spent a longggg time wetsanding it smooth and even...

then for clear we used whatever we had in the garge in spray cans as we'd thought we had enough clear from a recent paintjob to do it, but forgot to make sure we still had the activators...to look perfect it needs a wetsand and another coat of clear, but for what im asking for the car im nto going to take another day of my tiem to do that

Very nice! Though it would look much better with the lights painted.
