That water looks so nice. It's probably balmy compared to the low 60-degree ocean we've been dealing with up here.
What lens were you using? The pictures look nice considering how small the waves are... and I'm surprised how much spray that guy threw (pic #2) on such a small wave!

hahahaha. i tried about 3 times to stand up on the board. but ill just believe that im out of shape and the board wasnt the right size. i couldnt stand up for anything haha. but the waves were about 4 feet i guess. maybe 5. im debating on buying a board and getting good. and if you guys wanna know, the water temp is like 80-85 degrees depending on the weather.

Not bad. I wouldn't go in the water with my Canon SLR. But my Canon S500 with the custom Canon waterproof housing loves the water. I need to get to the beach and take some surfing shots.

^i know hahaha.
and my biggest lens is a 70-300mm. but unless people approach me about surfing shots, i will have no use for anything longer than 300mm.
