So, what do you guys think about rice? I'll eat any kind of rice. I like the yellow rice with the little bits of corn in it. But, I also like brown rice with beans in it. And sure, I'll occasionally hit up the white rice and beans.

I also love the white rice that gets wrapped around sushi for california rolls. Oh boy, I love sushi (but that's for a different thread).

Rice rules! I love about every kind of rice. I love beans too, so I eat beans and rice of all sorts, black beans, red beans, Cuban style, New Orleans style, a lot of good Caribbean and Central American influenced rice combos. My buddy from Texas who now lives in Abington makes about the best dirty rice I've ever tasted. Little bits and pieces of bbq brisket and rib meats floating around in it, maybe some chicken pieces, some of the rice kerrnels are crispy some are soft, for a variety of textures and crunch. It reminds me of good Chinese house fried rice but better. Last year or so I've been liking the Texmati rices ...nice flavor http://www.riceselect.com/texmati.htm I also like the Italian varieties of risotto, very yummy. I love rice pudding.

I guess I'll have to find some kind of rice thing for lunch now.

i hate rice! plain its just the worst ever. I dont mind it when it has some flavor but can only take like 3 spoon fulls. Most pointless food ever.

we had visitors from Japan in work recently, our reps who sell our stuff there. Since I spent a lot of time with them, in gratitude they gave me a bottle of Sake which they said was a very good variety ...it has gold leaf flakes floating around in it. I did already drink some and like this rice product also. Last year they gave me a different sake which was drier ...I like that too. I'm a ricer.
