Hit the Dyno, please be kind lol.

There was a car show yesterday at the dealership my brother works for, Holman Infiniti. They had a mobile dynojet there, $75 for 3 pulls with A/F. Here are my results:

Max HP: 198.3
Max TQ: 161.9

Additional Notes: Weather was 82 degrees with 40% Humidity. I am throwing a CEL Code for my rear O2 since I have not gotten an MIL for my ORP, i am almost positive it didn't matter. My A/F was in 10s at WOT from 4100 - 7300 Redline. I have 98,000 Miles on my motor and about 20,000 miles on the Supercharger.

Figured thats where my numbers would be since everyone else with SVTFs and the Jackson Racing Supercharger with the Ford Racing Big Boost Kit and Tune have been getting the same numbers on average.

Here are the scans of they DynoJet Graph and Data Logs.

Videos: Thank you Jose (oneWsube) for taking the videos with your camera.

First run - Fourth Gear pull

Second Run - Third Gear Pull - (numbers were low cause he only waited about 15-20 seconds after the first.

Thirs Run - Fourth Gear Pull - Waited a good 3-4 minutes before running this. HP was one off 1st run and only 3.5 ib/ft tq. That "nice" 10.0 A/F ratio on this run caused some nice flamage when the run ended.

Of course Jackson Racing and Ford claimed 220whp with the Ford Racing Big Boost Kit (Smaller pulley, bigger injectors, and tune). However like usual, Ford Racing blundered that package with a horrible tune. 10:1 A/F!?!?! I know safe is good, but damn! I am not totally dissapointed with the runs. I would have hoped higher numbers. But for a warm, IATs listed in logs at 88 and 89 Degrees, there is room for some power with some tweaking from dyno tuning.

Thanks

~Tim

you will definately make more power with a good tune. Get cam gears before the tune too. Especially on boosted applications and stock cams timing can play a big part. Also 10:1 is ridiculous. I can see 220 Without a doubt.

Sounds good though!

There arent any aftermarket cams for the SVT. I think there was one set over in the UK, but made minimal differences with the VCT. I guess you could always delete variable cam timing. Dont know if I would do that.

But thanks guys. Yea, I am hoping to get a decent tune and get her into the 13's at least.

I have no clue. Could it be because the torque numbers on the right are lower than the HP numbers on the left. That kinda raises the torque chart up higher keeping the HP plots from crossing to later?!? That might be it, not sure. My first time on a dyno. I need to check graphs from OJ Engineering and Ford Racing.

its not bad. with any motor that started out as na, you want to keep things rich and safe to account for the high compression of the motor. however it probably wouldnt hurt to lean it back out the the mid 11s from 4-6k.

the 220hp they claimed from the kit was probably at the flywheel. if so, then your setup is working perfectly .

Oscar Jackson Dynoed the kit before it was released through his website and Ford Racing. They hit 212 wheel hp and 166 wheel tq with everything else stock.

The base kit before a smaller pulley, bigger injectors, and tune was at 198wheel hp. So I am basically boosting 9psi and only getting HP results equal to the 5psi kit. I just found that original Dyno of the base kit versus the added Ford Racing Big Boost Kit. My HP should resemble at least 210whp no questions, especially with the Cat delete and 2.5" exhaust.

run number5 doesnt look good to me at all. it looks like the car had some detonation issues, or the belt slipped (sorry im not a SC guy), right a 5k.

That happens because of the Intake, If i had the stock air box in, would have looked cleaner. The MAF is right next to the Air Filter and the air is being pulled through fast and very disturbed. F's with the MAF pretty bad.

a sudden drop in hp/tq through the rpm through the power band like that is not because of an intake. normally when you see a the power dip and recover like that, its because the ecu pulled timing from the knock sensor input.

and im not talking about your runs. im talking about the 2nd pic you posted

the scaling for HP and TQ is different. I noticed the same thing at first, but I've seen lots of dyno sheets that do that with the scaling.

I almost bought a SVT-F before I got my subaru.. they're cool little cars, always have liked them. Respectable numbers for the setup, but it could definitely make some more power with everything cleaned up.

Just got off the phone with Ford Racing Performance Parts. I spoke with a Mr. Ray Herron. He gave me his email and asked me to submit an email with my supporting modifications and attachments of the above graph and tables.

When they replied....they already tried to say my intake is the cause and the car isn't tuned for the intake. Like a better flowing intake makes your A/F rich and lose power lol. Got to hand it to a company to find an easy way not to do anything for ya.

Lets see what they say now that I have replied to that response.

You gonna play nice since this is not an EVO or WRX thread lol?

Mods are basic bolt ons and a Jackson Racing Supercharger at 9psi. Non Intercooled from the factory.
