You knew it was going to happen!! Ticketed for lighting!!

So, apparently my super cool yellow Nokya headlamps are illegal. I have a $107.50 ticket to prove it.

I was always under the impression that in PA, forwards facing lamps could either be white or yellow/amber. I was told tonight that I was wrong. Foglights are OK yellow, but headlights MUST be white. Also, changing your lighting at all is illegal, HID's included. Be advised, as I have been told that Southampton police have issued almost 100 tickets so far since the beginning of June for blue or yellow non-stock headlights.

Funny too, since he gave me no flack for the 4 other additional lights on the front of my car.......but did ask me to turn them on for him.

key word here is Southampton. They're out giving bull**** tickets for minor modifications while they're kids are out in "gangs" and messing with powders.

I've been pulled over in Bensalem twice, and nothing was said about the yellowness exuding from the front of my car. Also passed inspection that way...

My bulbs are 4500k. Stock color.

But I upgraded to 80/100 watt in a Euro housing (glass housing w/ sharp cutoff beam pattern).

Cops can't tell the diff.

I'm running 6000k bi-xenons and 6000k fogs without issue. My headlights are actually aimed a bit higher than normal and I get flashed all the time and I've still never been pulled for it.

Your model car come with HIDs. So it probably doesnt look out of place to the police.

Its why when I put a set of HIDs in my car I went with 4300k and aimed them down alittle bit. Never been hassled once.

that's why i havent changed anything on the outside of my car other than the wheels. cops have been breaking balls everywhere lately. the night someone tried to steal my car and my alarm went off (i guess they took off after that) the cop that came to my house said my exhaust was illegal, my suspension was illegal...i just responded by telling him that every part on my car is dot approved and it passed inspection that way.

wtf?! sometimes i wish we were legally allowed to beat down an asshole cop like that.

Person1: Hey someone just stole everything out of my car and ran that way with a loaded gun shooting it off into the air.

Cop: Yeah, well looks like he must've dropped this bag of weed in your car, well since it's your car. You're coming with me. You have the right to remain....

You were probably blinding everyone. People who don't have their headlights aimed suck.

it's funny, i just changed out my headlight bulbs to hella super whites tonight. i'm in southhampton all the time, and anytime i passed a cop with the yellow bubls, i was just waiting for him to pull a u-bee and ticket me. i'm done with modding, it's become too much of a hassle, lol... state of pa-1, joe-0. that sucks about the ticket muddy.
