THE COPS STRUCK HARD!!!!! they hit 61 st with half the force and with the help of some state troopers.. they blocked off every street and ran up and took everyone's keys and IDs.. the whole area was on locked down.. they were locking up anyone that mouthed off and they impounded any car with ANY mods... thank god i was on my bike.. I was able to launch over a squad car and make it to safety.. .... I see there are no posts about this yet cus anyone that was down there is either still there or walking home.....

i was just about to post what i saw last night till i noticed your thread, all i know is that me and several friends were on our way home from chicke's and pete's when we were comming over the bridge to see a complete lockdown... the cops made every car turn around and find a new route home. the whole automall was lockdown atleast till 3ish cause that was when we were finally able to get through traffic. now im gonna go out on a limb here but this is either gonna end the south philly street races or make another hialrious street fire video

My brother and a friend was there last night, he called me when they blocked the road.
Sucks for whoever gets trapped in that.

I like how the cops are attributing street racing to car-jackings, shootings, robberies and break ins... Like that stuff wasn't already going on nightly in Philly... ugh. I would understand if they said, accidents, hit / runs...etc..etc

yeah same thing i was thinking. i know a lot of people that drag race, yet i dont know any of them that commit the other crimes the officer said in his statement.

if that much racing goes on in the area, then maybe the city or someone should consider opening a LEGAL track down there.
