Anyone do general contracting?

Professionally? Or know someone who does? I'm curious to find out how much finishing my basement would run. The walls are already framed. Basically, it needs new tile drop ceiling, new insulation and drywall. I can handle the painting myself. Its about 624 sq. ft.

Where are you located? I know about 50 GREAT contractors. Let me know your area and I'll list some that I work with to get you a quote. A finished basement, for what you need done, can run you you such a large range it's ridiculous (Dependant upon finish work wanted, electrical, contractor, brand of product, area, etc. etc.).

Seems like you are already getting some good help, but I'll throw this in here as well...

My father owns a construction company so I can always give you his number and you can all.

if u wana come to home depot, i can jump on the computer with you and sketch everything out and give u 2d, and 3d pix, as well as a full list o materials and parts. let me double check if i have the basement program tho i know i have one for decking, garage, fencing, and somethin else.

I just sold a deck today that I custom built for a bit over 1500

Thanks for the responses guys....well.... I know it can run a pretty large range...and I guess thats why I was asking. This is so preliminary I didn't want to waste anyone's time calling or trying to get an 'on paper' estimate. I just wanted to know a ball park so i know how long its going to take to afford it.
I will throw out some more info if it helps anyone with a ballpark... The basement IS finished, but.....in a 1970, fake wood paneling, three's company kind of way. I am going to retain original electric positioning and was planning on doing the wreckout of everything 1970's myself. I just need the drywalling and ceiling tiles taken care of.. No need for anything super custom. I can also handle things like molding and what not.

I live in the West Chester area.

If you need carpet when the basement is done than I can help out. My dad is a professional installer with his own company (that I work for). If you need to know anything feel free to ask.
