Mustang stolen and recovered by fuelslut members

repost? i dont check off topic a lot

http://www.fuelslut.net/vbulletin/ge...g-lookout.html

awesome story minus the guys getting rammed.

cliff notes: guy has mustang stolen along with his house robbed. bunch of members keep spotting the car, finally corner the guy, he rams their cars and some others, and eventually ditches the car. cops dont catch the guy because they suck.

The good **** starts on page 16. This is where they catch the car, but not the guy. I don't know if they caught the guy or not becasue my ADD kicked in and I am done reading.

I can't say that I agree with any of what they did, but you left out one important part. Members from the board and another board raised enough money to get all the damaged cars fixed completely!!!

There was a story similar to this that happened in Canada about a month or two ago. Some kid hit and ran in a silver rsx and ended up hitting a member of a local forum. Another member happened to be at that same intersection in his car, saw what happened and took pictures of the rsx. The kid plead guilty and everything got worked out.

Haha I remember that silver rsx guy... his mom dragged him to the police station to confess.

I just read all 53 pages of that story... unfreakingbelievable. They had people from 4 different forums calling/txting/emailing in saying they had spotted the car before they finally found him. I agree it wasn't exactly smart what they did, and probably would've ended up with a perfectly good car if they let the guy go inside the club, but like was mentioned, the huge plus side to this story is that over 2 grand was raised to help fix the white WRX that was damaged. The Bullitt is being fixed by the owner's insurance company, as far as I can tell.

There's bound to be more to this story, considering all the info the police got on the guy. It seems just a matter of time before he's caught.

I think your nuts. If it wasn't for them, he probably wouldn't have gotten his car back when he did and in the condition he did. Who knows if they guy would have eventually parted it or totaled it. Spotted several times and the cops couldn't catch the guy.

I will say WITHOUT a doubt that if I lived there, I would have chased that little **** sucker to the ends of the earth to help out. Fuelslut is an extremly reputable car club, and for the most part very tight knitted.

I can't give enough credit for those guys who went out of their way to help.
