BMX riders?

In the spirit of threads with summer sports, who here rides BMX? Do you guys have any good spots. I used to ride a lot but stopped..just got a bike again and want to get back into it..bike is a bit on the heavy side, but it will suffice for the time being. Anyway im just looking for some nice places to ride and practice my stuff before I go to woodward park at the mills and avoid embarrasing myself too much. Thanks guys.

BTW my bike is a haro mirra 540

I am used to riding bad bikes, so mine is a change for me. I had a royce union that was like 9 inches longer than a regular bmx so it made it near impossible to do ANYTHING on along with the extra long handlebars. then i had a mountain bike by huffy which sucked. this bike definately feels more solid and rigid with a great feel to it in general I love it

Has upgraded primo 3 piece cranks and some aftermarket pedals I forgot the name..got it for 125 used almost like new very few scratches just needs new bar end caps (the little plastic things)..i also want to cut the bars a bit so I can do barspins and such because I dont wana get smacked in the nuts

I've ridden since about 12 or 13, raced for about 5 years, quit at 20. Then picked it up around 22 and rode street again for about 3 years til only a couple years ago. What type of places you looking to ride, dirt or street?

street..tires wont do in the dirt...im looking for some flat clean pavement (no huge cracks etc.) to practice on. also maybe a small metal-covered curb to attempt some grinds, but I should really work the basics first. bunny hops, wheelies, fakie, and 180 are first on the list. hopefully I can have those solid under my belt by the end of summertime...itl give me something to do for now, and when I go away to college if I live on campus, cheap reliable transportation

I used to ride A LOT back in high school. A pulled muscle in my back that acted up for over a year put a end to me being in it with a serious passion. Now I ride a few times a month. I rode in front of my house last saturday and I can still feel I have it to a point, just doing 360 tire taps, 180's to fakie to half cabs, x ups and manuals.

Pic of my ride. Standard trails 250 OX platinum.

anyone want to arrange an hour when we can meet up and ride together, maybe the more experienced riders can try to educate the noobs a bit.

haro's are the neon's of bikes. I have a freind that built a nice set of trails behind his house on easton road. you drop out of a tree roll in and do a set of 10 foot tall doubles. He backflip 360's them. And you can ride street tires on trails. I always ride street tires when I do trails. And vice versa. I had 2.25's all the way around and rode street. Who cares if you look like an ass? I am 6'4 225 and can ride a bmx bike. I am sure it looks a little funny. You can tell your old school with the 44t sprocket. I have the 36t and thats big to what everyone is using now.

I dont know what a sprocket is...all i know is the bike rides fine except for the chain needing to be tightened, and the crank is makin some noise
