Where can I go or get these fallowing items for my sube?

I need new rear rotor's and break pads, also would like to eventually soon have a port and polish done to my heads . Need new gaskets and seals along with the port and polish. I'd like to do it myself,... so if anyone can give me a hand here I'd appreciate it. I'm looking for some good deals, gotta be able to pass the emissions test . Thank you!

I can get you Subaru anything.

As far as the P'P heads,.......not worth it. You are better off tossing cams in there. The heads flow pretty damn good as it is.

Well we need to keep in touch, I don't wanna keep my engine for long I want to in the future do a swap; I want the semi-closed block (STI). Right now I have 112K miles and I blew my gaskets so my engine over heats. My step dad and I wanna take the deads off, I wanted to atleast clean my heads or something. How much for the cams? I like the good ****, I don't know if cobb is the way to go or maybe someone else has better. Give me a price if you can I would really appreciate it.

if your planning on doing a swap in the near future, then i wouldn't bother with the internals. you can do cams if you'd like but i wouldn't go nuts. just save the $$

Yeah i really don't wanna go nuts, I just wanted to clean the engine up. I have plans like all the other RS drivers, my dream is to buy a full 22B body kit. The motor I'm just going to think harder about, last time I worked somewhere a no more friend of mine who works on subaru's said to buy wrx heads when u do the sti engine swap. Guess you can say a frankenstein swap type deal. Trying to find some carbon fiber stuff like hood, trunk, and doors. Then I will be needing to buy another car while mine is tore up.

if you need parts for it shoot me a PM. I had a buddy with P&Ped heads and cams and the car ran GREAT (also had a pistons and rods bottom end with a big turby). Our shop deals with a machine shop that does GREAT work. Im getting ready to rip my motor out and bring him the heads to get mine done.

Its nice and it sucks at the same time. Its nice when its all done but it sucks when your in the middle of doing it and you have sleepless nights and at the end of your project you realize it probally would be cheaper to be a crack head lol. Make your fiance pay for it.

ALright, I think I can direct you to a few websites. You own a 00 RS right? (we RSer's have to stick together... too many WRX / STi peeps here =P )

1) Brake Rotors and Brake pads: http://www.subaruwrxparts.com/gc8-braking.html

Scroll down past the Brembo, and 4 pot kits and you will see them.

2) Head gaskets: http://www.subarupartsforyou.com/cp_partlistbymod.php?model=Impreza&subcat=Engine+P arts%2C+Head+Gasket+Set&year=2000 This site has literally everything that you can buy stock (cept body panels) for our cars.

3) P&P for heads, really isn't worth doing, since it would cost a decent amount of money, which you could just put forward to a swap.

Hope that helps.

also.. if your looking for some "used" pieces, sometimes new, check rs25.com and nasioc.com rs25 has mainly 01 and under parts but doesnt move as fast. every now and then nasioc has some 01 and under stuff and that place moves almost too fast =p lots of good info on both sites too.

Depending on how long you plan on having that motor in there should be what you base your decision on.

If you dont plan on swapping within a year or less, then go with cams. If you do, then swap away

The problem is, as these cars get older the request for NA performance parts decline rapidly.

agreed... the cost and time and potential problems involved with the cams is only going to be worth it if you dont have any real set time frame for a swap. i would personally just hold onto the cash and put it toward a swap though, i think you'll be much happier in the end that way.

Haha, thanks. Its alot of work but g-damn I can't wait till its done. As for the project part... it was KINDA essential I swapped since I had rod knock, but I didn't have to get a JDM motor.

Yeah, I really want to swap, I just want my motor to last until I can afford it, and buy another car. I probably will start next fall '08 b/c that is when my car will be paid off and then I'll open up another loan and get something else. Don't know what I'll buy while my car is torn, I will be out of school by then so hopefully I'll have a mechanic job. It is nice that my step dad is a mechanic too :D
