Thanks to the soldiers on Memorial Day

I know we have some millitary guys on here, and people who know someone in the service. I think that with our friends, or family members out there fighting it would be nice to have a thread thanking them. Leave the politics at the door, we don't have to agree with the cause to support our soldiers.
So to all the men and women who are currently fighting and those who fought before you, to those that died and the families that go on without them, I just wanted to say thanks.

I think it might be one of the most overlooked holidays, as far as the meaning of it. +1 for a good thread, thank you to the men and women serving our great country.

I agree, but a lot of people lose sight of all the holidays anymore. Keep up the good work guys.

Thanks, and thanks to everyone that posted up. I agree that some people have forgotten what this day and Veterans day are about. That being said I did see a lot on cnn celebrating the troops which was nice.

In regards to the war all I can say is I have friends that serve, and are stationed in Iraq, and everyday I hope that in the years to come I get the chance to thank them on Veterans day, not remember them on Memorial day.

Sorry I missed this. I have friends and family who have serverd and are still risking their lives for our freedom. I'm currently working on a project for one of my buddies who is pretty much under meds for the rest of his life after serving in Iraq. He still take his pills with Coronas though ;)
