tires (2 options)

I'm looking at the Falken ziex 512or the Falken FK-452

I'm not looking for a serious track tire or autox tire, but more of a good tire that will handle decently in both dry and wet conditions and will last multiple seasons. I'm also debating on 235 or 225? They will be mounted on 17" rota's and my car is lowered on eibach springs. I don't imagine there will be a rubbing issue with either but want to make sure?

Avoid the 512's. They just don't grip like a "performance" summer tire should.

i had the ziex 512s on my mx6... they were a great tire but if mike says the other ones grip better, they probably do.

I personally have never run either tire, but my buddy Jon(sesolcSTi) ran the 512's on his 03 WRX and wasn't thrilled with the performance.

The 452's got some good reviews over on Discount tire.

I got FK452s on my RS and they are great. Real nice and quiet and they grab nicely.

yea I read those reviews as well, but was surprised that there was only 1 bad review. seemed almost too good. Like a few weeks ago I bougth a vaccum and every review was great, and they all touched base on a different feature of the vaccum? made me think that the manufacturer hired bloggers to give false reviews. I purchased it anyway but, just makes me think twice as far as online reviews go. But in anycase I ordered them last night, should be here in about a week since they are coming from arizona.

anyone have any hook ups at a tire place where i can get these mounted?

I got my tires mounted at creamery tire... don't know how far away that is from you. I got 215/25/17 mounted, balanced, etc for 440 out the door.

Wait you paid $440 just for them to mount and balance the tires? Thats seriously exspensive... Most places charge about $20 a tire? and then maybe like $8 for a disposal fee?

I was being cheap and looking for a freebie, or for someone to do it off the books for some cash. But I'll most likely just go to tires plus, they charged me $18 a wheel when i got my winter put on.

but I appreciate your help.
