Well, I've decided on my coilovers

I was set on getting Bilstein PSS-9's for quite some time once they became an option for the 05+ STi. At $1699 shipped, they're incredibly hard to beat...until I got a vendor offering to sell me KW V3's for $1799 shipped. RaceComp then matched that $1799 shipped price but mentioned that for only $91 more I could get their improved V3's. The normal V3's use a single set screw to hold the spring preload. This strips very easily. The RCE Tarmac IIs use a double locking adjuster so the set screw won't be stripped.
The Tarmacs also have better valving and a linear rear spring.

So yeah, due to this and the support available from RCE and KW in the U.S., a 3 year rebuild interval, my growing interest in autocross where the swifts didn't give me enough rate, and the sti struts being bouncy rebound-filled POS's, I'll be ordering RCE T2's in two weeks.

They'll come preset for comfort so my work commute won't suck anymore and I'll also be getting a track setting so I can hit the autox course harder next time out. I can't wait!!!

Very nice, I'm ultra jealous. Report back with your impressions. I've heard all good things so hopefully will hear the same from you. I'd be so anxious to get them if I were you!

Thanks guys! I'm very anxious to get these, you're right. I'll be sure to post a review with pics for everyone. My current setup is listed on my car blog in the sig. These should be the final big piece to the suspension. Camber plates, rear group n's, and ball joint extenders coming next.

very nice, sometime over the summer when we run into each other i'd love to see how the setup feels. i'm content with my setup for now, but am keeping my eye out for a decent deal on a set of used pss9, t2, or kwv3 coils...

Definitely. I'll be at the autocross on the 27th, but will still be on the Swifts then. I should be able to do the HPDE in June and hope to have the T2's on by then.

The PSS-9's will be my backup choice if I end up not liking the T2's.

Very nice. I'm deciding between the TIIs, PSS-9s, and maybe a little something from Prodrive coming out soon.

What rates did you get? I would get the 350/300 since I'm 90% street, and 10% track. I'm interested to see how they handle local roads (even though Allentown isn't so local).

I went with the 500/400 rates because RCE charges more for the softer rates.

I was told the 500/400 will be fine for DD with the wide range of adjustability that the T2's have.

No updates, had to cancel my order after finding out that due to a down cycle in the market, my contract at work may not be picked up in august.
