Any Masons, DeMolay, or other Masonic organization members?

Back when I was under 21 I was a very active DeMolay, when I was 19 my cousin Lauren joined because I enjoyed it so much and always talked about it. A little about my cousin Lauren.. he was diagnosed with asperger's ( a form of autism ) when he was in grade school. Like most kids with asperger's he's really good at a lot of things and very outgoing / uninhibited. He was always good with memorizing ritual, I think he memorized the opening and closing of a chapter in a week

well anyways, the point of this thread is that my cousin with asperger's was just installed as Master Councilor of his chapter and is now running for State Junior Councilor. I'm really proud of him and just wanted to brag about how awesome he is

i'll be the first one to ask, can you explain what Masons, DeMolay, or other Masonic organization members are?

Not a cult lol, my uncle is a mason. I wouldn't mind joining, it's a great way to do some networking.

I am A Pennsylvania Freemason.

Equity Lodge 594.

All of the male members of my entire family have become Masons as part of growing up.

if anyone is curious about the masons, the masonic temple in philadelphia is an incredibe piece of architecture & constuction & is considered one of the most famous masonic temples in america. they run tours daily IIRC. The temple is right next door to city hall. all of our meetings are held there.

That's an amazing story! Kudos to your cousin. One of the guys I work with has a son with asperger's. He is incredibly bright and one of the happiest kids I know. It was explained to me by someone who was a family friend of his that it is somewhere inbetween what is considered "normal" and autism. Had I not gotten the explanation, I wouldn't have thought anything was medically out of the ordinary for the guy's son.

Next time I'm at the bar I'll tip one back for Lauren's accomplishment.
