First Autocross in the Books *Video and Analysis*

Yesterday was an exceptional day. I simply can't be any happier with the new coupe. Major competitors in STS yesterday were, my old civic hatch, and another civic hatch of the same year. Both with very very skilled drivers.

So you ask how did you do, well CRM brought home the STS win and a 2nd place in PAX. Incredible for it's first event out. We won the STS class by .3 seconds over my old car.

Now what do I think of the car, the car is well balanced. The front bites very hard on turn in, rear is just where it needs to be. What needs to be improved you say, STIFFER SPRINGS!! The pitch on corner entry under braking, and the back and forth roll in the slaloms really is not helping me at all. Transitions just can't be done as smoothly as I would like. So that means once the coilovers get here and go on, in my eyes this car is going to be incredible in STS.

I am running the 215/45x16 Azenis this year as well. Softer sidewall feels very very nice. I am incredibly impressed with this tire over the 205/50x15 Azenis I ran last year. It's only about half inch wider, but the tread itself feels like it may be of a softer compound as well.

Power was also top notch, I couldn't believe the pickup I was getting from about 3000 - 3500RPM and up. I thought my low end was lacking because of how open the intake and exhaust are, but it really was quite surprising.

So then you can check out the old videos here. Around 31MB's but totally worth the wait hahah. Save target as is your best bet once you get on the site.

Anyone have any questions or comments about the car or the event please feel free to chime in and let me know.

Noice. That car is sweet. When do the AMR's get installed? Maybe I'll drive it sometime this summer? I don't work weekends all summer again, so I'm free Sundays. Woot! So I'll definitely see you at events, whether it's in H Stock with the '00 (which is at 99,650 miles by the way, about to turn over the big 100K) or in C Stock in the Miata.

EDIT: Hahahaha the SL2 is in STS now, I have an AEM short-ram. Ahahahahahaha this is gonna be good. Maybe I'll throw the old R-compounds on and run in DSP.

To build this car with the intention and goal of beating these hatches that are so called, unbeatable in STS.

Saturn was also my first car, and that's what I like working on.
