where to get tires mounted/balanced in philly?

what's a good place to get my new tires mounted/balance in philly? somewhere that does a good job and won't scratch the wheels. decently priced too would be nice.

a place that will at least minimize scratching. for example, i don't trust someone at pep boys doing it. i'm around center city.

lol i wouldnt trust pepbpys to put air in my tires let alone mount and balance. lol well i found it best to go to the rim shops. the little shops there is a few in south philly. are the rims new? and if so cant you go to the place you bought them from? if not the look in the yellow pages and look for rim shops or something like that

Not scratching wheels is pretty simple, newer mounting machines come with a plastice sleeve which make it hard to scratch the wheel, if you are careless though you may scratch them.

RT Tuning mounts and balances, and so does BC Speed... they're both vendors on here. I'm sure other vendors do as well, just haven't had any experience with others to know.

I can second them. Never used them myself but I have sent many people there and they were happy.

I'm about 45 min south of Lansdale and if I need something local and good in my area just west of Philly, Joe's Automotive on Eagle Rd. in Havertown sort of across from the bubble gum factory is awesome. He frequently mounts wheels for owners who would totally freak out if there was any mark on them at all, so he does perfect work. He also balances wheels better than anybody I've ever used; I get all my street and track setups balanced by him and they always ride smooth as glass. Not cheap, just the going rate but you know you'll get perfect work.

if youre really in philly and not in a suburb saying philly hit up Big Boys Toys on broad st . gonna cost a bit, but they take good care of your wheels since they are used to dealing with 24s and up. had them do my evo once or twice but ive gone elsewhere since. in the plymouth meeting area, i used German Automotive Specialists. good work there too, and some sweet old benzes to stare at

o i forgot Chassis-suspension-Engines INC in oreland. good guys there too. did my alignment and nailed it. even had me sit in the drivers seat to get it just right. spent 2 hrs on my car.

what a rip off. They see that you have a nice car and try to up the price on the spot. They tried doing that to me and I left.
