I Gotta Question

I have a civic with a 96' jdm gsr engine swap. I've really only raced my friend srt-4 on a marked quarter mile in quakertown, because i haven't had it for too long. I beat him by a car length to a length and a half every time. Today my civic dynoed at 164 hp and 124 torque. soo im wondering how my car is faster than his with such lower numbers. I dont think my 93' dx weighs that much less than the srt-4...I have no idea, it seems unlikely that i would keep up let alone beat him. Any insight would be appreciated.

Im sure your car is quick but I would bet he can't drive. Switch cars and see what happens.

yeah switching drivers wouldnt hurt

otherwise i think the major factors are power, weight, and gearing. (and traction too if that was an issue at all)

well..we both have lsd ..no the transmission kind. As far as i know stock gears for both trannys. i have my stock 5 inch wide tires that spin through first and half of second but other than that unless the dyno is incorrect i think he should be beating me.

Make sure to check their schedule (last I knew it was on their site and also check for people posting in Upcoming Events or Racing subforums) because it isn't always a test and tune night. You might find yourself taking a useless drive.

3rd gear? Must be in the rain...

I'd def switch cars and see the outcome of that. All atco's info is on there website, if you can't find it call 1-856-768-0900 and follow the promps.

race from a roll

racing from a dig determines the better driver, racing from a roll determines the faster car

i'm pretty sure the srt is a tank compared to your car, not to mention you should be less likely to spin your tires as much because your torque numbers probably dont come close to the srt4's
