Corzine....not wearing a seatbelt!!!! (Merged all Corzine threads)

My brother lives in NJ. He's been ticketed numerous times for not wearing one.

How do you feel about the Jersey Gov'

The state spends Millions prmoting the "Click it or Ticket" ads and hands out thousands of tickets a year, Yet Jon Corzine isn't going to receive one for his Accident he had on the GSP...Irony at it's finest, A state trooper was driving as well...I dont know why but this angered me and I think it's a classic case of Do as i say, Not as I do.

12 Broken Ribs and He needs to have Assited Breathing, Along with many other injuries.

Discuss.

I would rather bitch about the state trooper who had to stay at the scene while the D-bag was life flighted when he was in critical condition.

Since the poor guy is still in critical condition maybe holding off on this type of discussion until any lingering effects are known may be more appropriate.

No, you know people are discussing this as we type and read so we should be able to do the same. The fact that he is in critical condition does not mean we cannot discuss the irony of the issue, or the fact that this happened only because he was breaking the law. If anything we should be discussing it more. It is a major headline in newspapers.

Do I buckle up? Sometimes. Am I prepared to face the consequences when not buckling up hurts me. Yes. He should be prepared for the same.

I dont care about him or the state trooper or the whole thing for that matter. Just another entertaining news story to me..

I do find it ironic however that a local police officer around here was going 120 in his corvette on the highway and he didnt get a ticket, but if i go 10mph over they will hand me a ticket.

My g/f's dad, who is a police officer, and is friends with a few high level troopers, told me the reason he did not get charged is he didn't come in contact with anybody.
