Photoshop? Where and what to buy

Im looking to purchase photoshop for myself and my school. Im looking for the best place to buy it from that will give a good discount to a school. Also Im looking for what version is the best to buy. Im used to the old 5.0LE so looking for a major upgrade. I know Lightroom and CS3 are out now. Im looking for the ease of use to get started but that wont limit me once I start learning.

Start here:http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/openoptions/

If you can qualify for the CLP then the students can take advantage of the student pricing by purchasing through the school (and help the school with upgrading the CLP level). If the school is small and can not qualify then there is the TLP program.

A lab of 15-20 computers could qualify for the lowest CLP program level depending on what the school gets.

stick with the cs series. it's the best bang for the buck.
and after you get it just use it, and have no fear when you do, try every tool and see what it does. or read up on it in the help section. (f1)

jsut becareful where you roder from nd make sure you are buying a legitimate version.
