somebody should go to philly/or camden and do that. 20dollars says ull either get shot or beat up, waving ur camera in some1s face, i dono it just seems risky, u dont know who can take it the wrong way.

so basically journalism... candid street photos. sounds good to me, and i bet it will be interesting for a lot of people and put them into a situation that they aren't used to with photographing people. if people are serious about this i can help out with what you are and are not allowed to do and how to approach things to make it go a little smoother.

Street photography is the best!! None of my friends ever wanted to go out, as they were afraid to approach people.

That guy is way too creepy and his suggestions are common knowledge.

If anyone ever wants to go shoot in the city, let's arrange a date.

Either a 5 mp Olympus point and shoot, or a D70.

Really though, the abundance of light is a factor in bringing out the colors, as is Photoshop.

Troll you should just make this a sticky or effectively copy and paste the rules that were set in place for previous months and add this as the topic and make a new thread.

One suggestion though, maybe because it is already the 11th and we still haven't made this official we should have the contest end mid May or give people even more time to catch up and allow the contest to go until the end of May.

A similar thing happened on another forum I am a member of and no one wanted to take over the contest after the first month, and by the time someone did it was about mid month so we allowed it to go until a week before the end of the following month, reserving the last week of every month for voting as opposed to reserving the first week of the following month for voting. It worked very well on that site and gave people a lot of time to submit something, I think it could work well but these are just suggestions.

cool idea just don't see it as a contest theme per say. nothing is stopping anyone from doing street photography as part of a theme like curves for example?
