Agree Peakboost is an excellent kit, almost up to par w/ Full-Race. I had a tough time choosing between the two for my K20A2 but finally decided on FR.

There were some stories w/ older Peakboost kits and fitment issues on certain chassis. All from what I have seen have been resolved. There is a 50+ page thread on H-T about Peakboost, thats a good place to check out their quality/fitment.

Perhaps the only major difference between FR and Peakboost is FR is mostly robotically welded. But IMO that shouldn't be a deciding factor.

In the end both are quality and will make major power. Just my .02 cents

x1Billion....

atleast I think a turbo kit is about function not how it looks, why spend $3K when you can do the same thing for $1K...

I'm not arguing at all, but I'm not that familiar with Honda's. I've only heard great things about FR's stuff, though. How do you figure they're overrated?

Excuse my lack of knowledge about them.

I cheaped out the first time on a crappy manifold and learned my lesson. Cracked, destroyed my original turbo, had to ditch almost the entire kit. Lesson learned, lucky I didn't destroy my motor.

The best advice I can give you is do it right the first time or you will be doing it again! Peakboost or Full Race are top top notch kits and you can't go wrong. I can speak for the quality of both.

I won't argue about the price/quality of Full Race though. If you see me at the track, I'll be glad to show you why I chose what I did on my setup.

Lastly, I have respect for people that put together a HMT kit. Just as I repect a lot of domestics. But for under 1K chances are your using some junkyard parts/XS power turbo or equilavent. You can't compare a PB or FR kit to one of these setups. If you want great spool, excellent power, and reliability be prepared to spend over 3K just on the kit.

Good luck

not everyone can spend 5k on a full race kit, my custom kit only cost about 1500-2000 and thats with everything basically new

Well Junkyard turbos and the ability to weld makes it alot easier to make a kit for cheap...I would never use SSAC is not a smart choice, but you can definately make a cheap turbo kit that is as reliable as any other...I can still upgrade my turbo and make goobs more power....

I'm not having any reliablitiy problems related to my turbo kit not the best looking but will defineately put down more than enough power for a 2000lbs FWD car to handle...and anyone who takes the time to match the proper turbo to there motor will get "great spool" and "ecellent power"
