rain-x blows.

waxing your windows does the same thing, lasts longer, and won't smear like rain-x....we do it at work (mercedes).

***WARNING*** Be very careful when applying RainX. If it gets on the paint... then your f'd. verified with my friend Kip that used it.

yeah.. my buddy said when it rained & had it applied, by the time he was done driving and dried, you could see the water lines suck the paint right out. I couldn't believe it.

Rain x blows. I had it on my windsheild before and after about 2 rain storms the stuff was smearing on my winsheild and came off of spots. I had smeary spots and spots with nothing and then spots with rain x. I thought it was a fluke but I applied it again and had the same results.

If you use a spray wax on the windows, could you use a real paste wax and it will last longer? I have never waxed my windows before expect for at the car wash where you spray the piss out of your car for 5 mins.

Yea I used to use it on my neon on the actual body, and it worked nicely, but then I got into the more serious applications. With the neon, I found myself re-waxing it every 2 weeks. The harder it is to work with, the better it works (I think buster or someone else said this about wax).

I use Invisible Glass for all my windows (inside and out) generally, it's great for cleaning and leaving them looking, well, "invisible" but they don't really assist with water beading. I may try spray-on wax next time

I use the same stuff. I have no complaints about it's effects on my paint, but I also subject the paint to worse things than rain-x.
