looking at new turbos for dsm.

does this seem like a good deal.

http://www.turbochargers.com/store/p...roducts_id=186

is that site trustworthy? it says with warranty. i wanna get a new turbo for the 2g but am only looking to spend like 700ish but that comes with everything to install..

any other turbos i should look into other then a evo3 16g. i want about 350 to the wheels someday.

also, it comes with "gt" ported headers.. i know the oem headers are really good, but would there be any gain in those?

I would stay away from that company. They have a nasty reputation and have for years in the DSM community.

For your power goal an E16G is the perfect turbo. I know you said not to mention that but if that truly is your goal then you would be losing low end with a larger turbo when something smaller can reach your goal.

Almost every turbo company has failures. If you are buying an MHI turbo then I wouldn't really worry about having problems with it.

If you want that setup I'll see if I can get you a deal on it.

You will be able to make around 300 to the wheels on that turbo if you have a stock engine. With some street cams you can get it to low-mid 300's at the wheels.

Shoot me a PM for pricing on the turbo. For some reason I can't PM you.

You can get 300 hp from a 16G. I've never had any experience with that company, but maybe you can find someone else who has. You can probably save money, and port your 2G manifold, and just buy a mitsu 16G. I'm sure that one of the vendors on here who has experience in this arena can put something together for you.

just go to extremepsi.com...you won't need an exhaust manifold. the stock 2g manifold will suit your purpose just fine, i have the same power goal as you so i have a similar set up. just get the e16g w/ an install kit..open up about 5-6 hours of your time and you've got a completely different car. I love my car now that i've got the 16g in there, it is a completely different car with it

No need for an install "kit" What most vendors sell as a kit can be put together for <$50 if you shop around.
