Can someone tell me how this works

Isnt this just like putting an after market amp in?? Just with RCA output for a sub.

That is a sound processor/high low level bypass. It just cleans up the sound and also is for people looking to add a 5.1 surround sound system to there car.You would still need to add amps for a sub or for high output aftermarket speakers.

This is not really needed unless you are really looking for dynamic movie sound. And that price is outrageous.lol.

Does the amp go before or after it? Does it go head unit to amp to sound processor? Then it gives you RCA out puts to go to the speakers/sub? There is also a cheaper one like 300$.

Or do you wire the RCA out puts to the amp? Then from the amp to the speakers.

Thanks dancemf666

It would go headunit then speaker wire to the processor, then rca's out of the processor and into your amps. Then your amps to speakers/sub.
Kinda look like this layed out(below). Some processors may offer the option to run speaker cable in then back out but it doesnt act as a amp its more to clean up the sound coming out of the headunit and make everything come together (sound wise).

Thanks for the pic it speaks 1000 words. 1 more question. If you run everything the way you have it layed out, how powerful of an amp can you have after the processor? Say I do everything like the picture and put a 500 jl audio amp in and a memphis 4 channel amp

I had a brain fart moment. I was thinking the power came from the head unit still but thats lost at the processor. You need to run power wires from the battery. Thanks for the help.
