I found the antennas! And stuff

You know the big-ass antennas you can see off to the west from the Betsy Ross Bridge, or off to the northwest of Philly, or south of someplace like Oreland?

I found 'em! Domino and Umbria Streets near Manuyunk (sp?).

Random drives are cool. I felt like driving, and got from Warminster to Manuyunk.

Oh and I was driving down Broad Street blasting Less Than Jake and had like 4 different cars full of black people flip me off or yell obscenities at me.

I <3 Philly.

Ok, back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Random drives for no reason are really awesome, I went for one today too. Registration from school left me a big gap between 12 and 4, so I cruised down River Road and went down every road that looked interesting, then every road down those. Whoever's never done that along that area really needs to, it was my best drive ever, definitely worth the 8-10 gallons of gas.

...that really has nothing to do with what you said, but I felt like sharing. We were 'inspired' on the same day.

I agree.. there are some AMAZING roads back there. The further off river road you get the better the roads get too.

They're huge antennas, painted red and white, about 7 of them. They're so tall, and sit on a hill, you can see them from all over Philly and the suburbs. The next time you drive on I-95, near the Girard Ave exit, look to the west and you'll see them.

Woot for River Road.

I always try and find out where the spotlights they put in the air are. Like two weeks ago my brother and our friend Mike followed one from here to NE Philly to find it sitting on top of a McDonalds.

Try the jersey side river road. RT 29. Take it up to 519 and into frenchtown and stockton. Great sweeping high speed curves back there. Me and my girl have killed many hours driving both river road and 519.
