More pics of "River Rat" *warning for lots of pics*
LINKY Acquired this in trade for some r/c stuff. A clodbuster with a custom chassis, a rs4 rally, and an original rc10t. ![]() ![]() ![]() Doesn't look anywhere near this good anymore. It was originally red and was a Mcnew's edition focus from back in the day. I will post some pics of it's current state tomorrow. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And a video of it running. ![]() Tranny was shifting a little hard and i was concerned there was water in it so i decided to drain it out and flush it and switch it to some fresh ford honey. Here's what came out. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Small hole in the passenger floor board that's gonna need fixed. ![]() The drivers side rocker panel got a got sized dent in it also. But i have stock black side skirts that will cover that up. ![]() ![]() Also a hammer mard on the passenger a pillar if you look close you can see it in this pic. ![]() Installed my old headlights. ![]() Made some more progress Had to put a radio in it was going nuts without one. Got this from a junkyard for $40 dollars and bought the install kit to mount it. it's a jenson cd player nothing fancy. ![]() ![]() ![]() This is my good freind Andy. He is the guy who fabbed up my turbo kit for me and is a very good fabricator and welder. He was helping me repair the damage from the roof scoop. had a bunch of screw holes and a huge die grinder cut that needed welded shut. ![]() ![]() Got a Rousch midwing from Karl at Massive ![]() Ground down the welds and slapped some flat black on it to protect it until it gets painted in january. ![]() ![]() This is the damage that was done were the ww mid wing was ripped off. They must have used a large screwdriver or prybar. i ordered a new mid wing to go over the area and hide most of the damage. Also pictured is the green gas door that i got from a slavage yard to replace the broken one. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is the hammer dent on the passenger a pillar. ![]() ![]() It's six different colors(red, baby blue, yellow, primer, flat black, and green) right now and i may add a sen=venth color if i can find a good oem rear bumper to replace this damaged one. But it has run great so far and this is how it looks going down the road. I get lots of looks in both of my Foci. ![]()

wow i have never seen so many photos posted in one thread. maybe post only some of the pics and link to the rest for those interested? it was a bit too much for me personally.
either way, i moved this to member journals which is a great place to document the progress of your car, so you can just continue with anything related to this car there...

so did you get this, by trade at the junkyard or did you get it like this and the first pics are what it looked like before it ended up in pieces?

I saw your car down in York when it was sitting. I had met up with the kid (cant remember his name right now) that had the flat black ZX2 that was sitting next to your car up at that garage back when I was looking for a project car.

Thats a really well documented build. How did it go from the shape it was in to the mess that it was when you started it, with the wing and skirts and lips torn off?

Who the hell painted it the first time? They painted the car with the body kit and wing on there, so when they were taken off it was red underneath?
Glad to see with the second paint job your doing it right. BTW, what the hell happened to the car? It got stolen?

Wow man that is a really well documented rebuild. It's kind of funny that you traded the car for some R/C stuff, as I type this I am sitting next to two of my original RC10's, my TC3, RC10 B3, RC10 T3, and my RC12 L3's. Yeah I used to be really into the R/C stuff, Team Associated FTW!
So is this simply a project car, and you have another focus that is up in running? Anyways, glad to see you are bringing this car back to life, looks like your doing a great job keep up the good work.
