Would the dealer take a warranty on an EVO 9 for a High-flow cat? Or just test-pipe. ( D'am.... )

i had warranty work done with a front mount cams full exhaust with test pipe tune with a safc right on the console and they didnt say a word but how fast is it

thats bc they took down your vin and canceled your warranty without sayin a word as well

a test pipe is breaking a federal law... so even if it doesnt cancel your warranty.. they can still report you and you could be fined i think like 10 grand.

yeah your right thats what they did thats why i had work done after that. it is against the law for them to do that, they have to be able to prove beyond any doubt that your modification caused the problem. but you know that they took my vin down caue your the smartest man alive.

a dealer that doesnt exist anymore it was always fred beans mitsu for small stuff but they moved i neved had or would have any major work done by the dealer

Ive heard yes/ and no. Both from people, and dealers. However the only dealers that say its fine are like 20miles from my house.

did you talk to masano ? its like 30-45 min ride but if you tell them that d'ambrosio said itll void they will say it wont just to take some business from them

Yeah what kind of warranty work is it. I came in for a blown tanny with a TBE and that was it and my warranty was almost voided till I pulled the MM card. all you have to do is make it clear you know your rights and if you are bringing it in tell the advisor you want to be present for everything unless you honestly cant be.

SOA does infact take pictures of highly modified vehicles and documents everything just for situations like mine, I wouldnt doubt Mitsu does it also. What you have to look for is a dealer thats been around a long time. Theres less of a chance that the rep comes by or is going to question their authority on a warranty matter.
