Where to get my DSM worked on in Western PA?

Well as you can tell I
m still new here, and am not sure if this is where I should post it or not. Anyway I have a 1990 GS-T 5 speed, 2nd gear is hard to catch at times (like maybe 5% or so, it isn't that bad yet) and I figure I will need the 2nd gear synchro replaced, and the clutch will need replaced soon as well.

My questions are as follow-

1. Does anyone know a rough estimate of what I'll be looking at to get this done? (never really had transmission work done on a car)

2. Would it be better just to rebuild the whole tranny? (I've heard, though am not sure, that they aren't to expensive to have rebuilt)

3. Does anyone know of a good place within (hopefully) 100 miles from where I live? (I am still new and don't know all the best palces to look for shops that work on our cars)

I live in McDonald, PA zip code 15057

Thanks for any and all help.
