Guys, I have a problem. I bought a version 8 STi engine from a guy on NASIOC, and it's only a 2.0, not a 2.5. Should I sue him and get the .5L he owes me and install it myself, or should I make him replace the motor? Also, I was told that the 2.5 sucked and a version 4 2.0 would smoke it, hands down. Apparently when I bought it, I had no clue what I was doing even though I thought I was Mr. Knowitall. I really should have done my research first. Luckily, one of the newer members here made me aware of my mistake, hopefully, it's not too late to file a claim.

I would ask if it was a JDM motor he sold you. Like ^ he said all JDM motors are a 2.0.

So, are you happy or do you still want the 2.5L? The heads of the JDM motors are awesome compared to USDM heads, I would be happy :D

Well, it doesn't matter...I won't be able to drive for a long time anyway....I'm 15.

I don't know. If you really want to know the only real way to do it is take the head off I suppose. I would get in contact with him and try to clarify the situation.

Thanks for your help everyone. I'm going to pull my motor out tomorrow and measure my pistons. What size should they be for a 2.0?

between 4 and 6 inches.
