Need help, possibly ripped off...

Guys, I have a problem. I bought a version 8 STi engine from a guy on NASIOC, and it's only a 2.0, not a 2.5. Should I sue him and get the .5L he owes me and install it myself, or should I make him replace the motor? Also, I was told that the 2.5 sucked and a version 4 2.0 would smoke it, hands down. Apparently when I bought it, I had no clue what I was doing even though I thought I was Mr. Knowitall. I really should have done my research first. Luckily, one of the newer members here made me aware of my mistake, hopefully, it's not too late to file a claim.

I would ask if it was a JDM motor he sold you. Like ^ he said all JDM motors are a 2.0.

So, are you happy or do you still want the 2.5L? The heads of the JDM motors are awesome compared to USDM heads, I would be happy :D

What if it isn't JDM? Please re-read the original post and let me know what you'd suggest.

I don't know. If you really want to know the only real way to do it is take the head off I suppose. I would get in contact with him and try to clarify the situation.

No, it's for real...I don't want to have a 2.5L because it sucks and it'd get smoked by 2.0 any day.

So are you saying I should have a shop do it for me? It probably won't turn out right if I do it in my garage, huh?

Thanks for your help everyone. I'm going to pull my motor out tomorrow and measure my pistons. What size should they be for a 2.0?
